MUSWELL HILL UNITED REFORMED CHURCH
I worked closely with the church whilst designing the feature window for the refurbished Muswell Hill United Reformed Church in north London. Created using a combination of silk screened and hand applied coloured enamels, the window includes design elements relating to both biblical texts and the topography of the local area. The three crosses represent both the crucifixion and the Trinity, whilst the circle denotes eternity, wholeness, Creation and Christ. The abstract elements within the circle symbolise the rural area of pastures, woods and open spaces in the Muswell Hill area that overlooked the Thames and Lea Valley until the nineteenth century.
