ST JOSEPH'S CHAPEL

The two window designs for the new chapel at St Joseph's Roman Catholic Primary School in Lancashire were in part informed by the rural landscape of the local area. The three rivers in the vicinity of the school in the Pennine village of Hurst Green are represented, whilst trees and wood, the raw material used by Joseph for carpentry are also depicted. An integral part of the £1.1m project, the double glazed windows were created using a combination of sprayed and hand applied resin and

sandblasting to a depth. The chapel was Blessed by The Right Reverend John Arnold, Bishop of Salford, in May 2016.

Architect: Cassidy and Ashton
